The Chevy Trax is one of the most stylish and rewarding subcompact SUVs on the road, providing you with a driving experience that you’ll look forward to each day. Whether you’re already looking for a Chevy Trax for sale or you’ve just started checking out what it has to offer, we’re here at Jim Ellis Chevrolet to make sure you find what you need.

We love the Trax for a wide range of reasons, but chief among them is the remarkable value it represents for our customers and just how much it offers you for its price. Not only is that cost remarkably low, but the overall value it provides can’t be beaten. Let’s take a closer look at the 2025 Trax and what it offers so you can see precisely what we mean…

#1. A Low Starting Price

This is worth digging into a bit more to fully appreciate what a great value the Trax represents from the get-go. The 2025 Chevy Trax starts at just $20,400, making it one of the most affordable and accessible vehicles on the road. This is a terrific starting price in general, but even among other subcompact SUVs, it’s one of the best out there. Only the Hyundai Venue (at $20,100) can beat it, and it does so just barely. Looking at similar vehicles, we see the Toyota Corolla Cross starts at $24,035, the Honda HR-V at $25,400, and the Dodge Hornet at more than $31,000.

Starting price isn’t everything, of course. The Trax is the entry-level SUV in Chevy’s lineup, so it makes sense that it starts at such a low price, but that doesn’t stop other brands from having much higher-priced starting options. If you want a lot of extra bells and whistles, then that’s great, but if you’re looking for a small SUV that you can count on and you’re shopping on a budget, then price is vital. Chevy delivers with the Trax, ensuring every driver has a terrific SUV to start with.

#2. Stylish Trim Levels

Beyond the starting price, you have to consider how the cost of a vehicle can increase and what those increases represent. This is where trim levels come into play since they let you upgrade features at different price points. Chevy gets it right with the Trax because the trims are all reasonably priced and often represent alternatives in style rather than pure upgrades.

For example, the starting LS trim features an eight-inch infotainment display, a four-speaker sound system, cloth seating, and a 3.5-inch Driver Information Center screen. Moving up to the 1RS trim gets you a number of upgrades, like heated front seats, a wrapped steering wheel, and remote start functionality at a low increase in price.

What’s interesting, however, is that you can also choose an LT trim at almost the same price as the 1RS, which has an 11-inch infotainment display and an eight-inch Driver Information Center. The 1RS comes with 18-inch wheels and some distinct styling, while the LT has 17-inch wheels to go along with enhanced features inside.

Similarly, the highest price is shared by the 2RS and ACTIV trims, which both have large displays and great features for you to enjoy, but each has a distinct style, setting it apart from the other. This means you can get great features in any Trax and consider trims as a way to express your style rather than as a means to pay more for the features you want.

#3. Surprisingly Spacious Interior

Although the Trax is a subcompact SUV, it’s surprisingly spacious inside—far more than you might expect from a vehicle in its class. You’ll find two rows of seating with room for five passengers, making this a great choice for small families. The Trax offers about 40 inches of headroom and nearly 42 inches of legroom up front, along with 38 inches of headroom and more than 38 inches of legroom in the back. Overall, you get 98 cu.ft. of passenger volume inside the 2025 Trax, ensuring you and all of your passengers have plenty of space to stretch out in.

You also get a lot of room inside the Chevy Trax for stuff you need to bring along with you. There’s more than 25 cu.ft. of cargo volume in the rear of the Trax, with more than 54 cu.ft. of total cargo space behind the front seats; this gives you a lot of room to play with when you have to load up with stuff and hit the road, making daily life easier while you enjoy your SUV. The fact that you get all of this interior space at such a low price is simply the icing on the cake.

#4. Remarkable Fuel Efficiency

There are many factors that have to come together to ensure you get the most out of your time on the road each day, and great fuel efficiency is typically a major one. We all want to be able to take care of things we need to do, run errands, and enjoy our time off with fewer stops for gas. The Chevy Trax gets an estimated fuel efficiency of 28 MPG in the city, 32 MPG on the highway, and 30 MPG combined.

This means you can go a long time before you need to fill up, making the Trax a terrific daily driver that can also save you money while you enjoy it. You’ll get this impressive fuel efficiency no matter which trim you choose since they all have the same great engine and front-wheel drive, so you don’t have to make any sacrifices to get the kind of fuel economy you want in your SUV.

#5. Standard Chevy Safety Assist

There’s no better value than sticking to your budget while shopping for a vehicle and still getting an incredibly safe SUV. The 2025 Trax comes with the Chevy Safety Assist suite of driver assistance features standard on every model, which includes Forward Collision Alert and Automatic Emergency Braking with Front Pedestrian Braking. You also get a Following Distance Indicator, Lane Keep Assist with a Lane Departure Warning, and IntelliBeam auto high beams that switch off to avoid blinding oncoming traffic.

If you want to take things even further, then more fantastic options like Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Lane Change Alert with a Side Blind Zone Alert are also available. You’ll get an SUV that’s fun to drive and helps keep you safe no matter which trim you choose, so you can stick to a budget without missing out.

See What the Chevy Trax Can Bring to You!

We know how difficult it can be to shop for a vehicle when you’re on a tight budget; you need something you can rely on to get you where you need to go each day, which can sometimes feel impossible to find. The 2025 Trax gives you an option for a new SUV that you know you can depend on with great features, plus more available if your budget allows for it. Even the starting trim—at its incredibly accessible price—comes with a big infotainment display, advanced safety features, and much more for you to enjoy every time you hit the road.

No matter what you’re looking for in your next vehicle, the Chevy lineup has you covered, and we’re ready to help you find it. Once you know what you need, then we’re here at Jim Ellis Chevrolet to make sure you can take home a new or used SUV that you’ll love.
