Drivers who select the High Country trim enjoy a standard 6.2L EcoTec3 V8, which cranks up the power output to 420 hp and takes the torque up to 460 lb-ft. However, you don’t have to choose the top trim to access this engine, as it’s an available option on the RST, Z71, and Premier trims, as well.

Their responsiveness makes them feel much nimbler than their full-size dimensions suggest.”

Drivers can also take the Suburban’s cooperative nature to the next level with features such as Magnetic Ride Control and Air Ride Adaptive Suspension.

Magnetic Ride Control is offered on the RST and Z71 trims, but it’s standard on the Premier and High Country trims. This engineering feat debuted on the Cadillac Seville STS and C5 Corvette, proving it can smooth out any ride. Sensors provide an instant projection of road surfaces, triggering the shocks to provide just the right level of damping to keep passengers stable and unbothered by changes in terrain.

Those who select the RST, Z71, or High Country trims can also opt for the Air Ride Adaptive Suspension. This technology automatically adjusts the ride height to regulate aerodynamics and ground clearance. It can also be set to a parking height that’s ideal for passengers hopping in and out of the vehicle, making the Suburban more accessible for more kinds of people.

Space, Capability, and Versatility

Having space for passengers is important, but having room for all of their belongings is equally crucial. The 2025 Suburban says “no problem” with one of the roomiest cargo spaces in the segment.

With all seats occupied, the Suburban can handle up to 41.5 cu.ft. of equipment. Once the third row’s 60/40 split-fold seat is fully stowed, this increases to 93.8 cu.ft. And if only the first row of seating is required for your road trip, stashing the second and third rows opens up a massive 144.7 cu.ft. of space for all of your luggage or adventure gear.

The Suburban is also available with Chevy’s AutoSense power liftgate, which senses the key fob’s proximity and opens the rear liftgate automatically, making it easier than ever to access the cargo hold. Trailering features have also been increased for the Suburban. Capable of towing up to 8,200 lbs, the Suburban is more prepared than ever to take a trailer, boat, or camper on the road with you.

The Advanced Trailering Package is offered on most trims, adding a few significant aids, such as Blind Zone Steering Assist with Trailering, which accommodates the size of your load, and a Hitch View in the rearview camera to make the hitching process a simple, one-person job.

Those who are even more serious about taking their lives on the road with them may wish to add the Max Trailering Package, which builds upon the Advanced Trailering Package with a higher capacity radiator and cooling fan, Hill Descent Control, and an integrated trailer brake controller.
