Rugged and Reliable Trucks

Several variants of the ever-popular Silverado truck are on the market for the 2024 model year. The standard Silverado has a brand-new TurboMax 2.7L High-Output I-4 engine, giving you 310 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque, while the ZR2 trim gives you an option for the DuraMax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel engine, providing 305 hp and 495 lb-ft of torque. You can also opt for the 5.3L V8 and 6.2L V8 engine options as well.

There are several new exterior colors, including Slate Gray Metallic. The High Country trim level can now be equipped with the Midnight Edition, and a Blackout Appearance Package can be put on the Custom, Custom Trail Boss, ZR2, LT Trail Boss, and RST. The Silverado now has standard OnStar and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The High Country trim has Adaptive Cruise Control, and Front and Rear Park Assist is included in both the WT Safety Package and Safety Package.

The Silverado HD ZR2 Bison is the result of a collaboration with American Expedition Vehicles. Rocker protection, customized front bumpers, and specially designed skid plates are all there to enhance the ZR2’s off-roading capabilities. The 6.2L V8 engine powers this variant, which is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The result is a power output of 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. The suspension and chassis are tuned for optimal off-road performance; one-pedal rock climbing also comes courtesy of the Terrain Mode.

The heavy-duty Silverado models offer more torque and horsepower courtesy of the available Duramax 6.6L Turbo-Diesel V8 engine and Allison 10-speed automatic transmission, but you can still get the gas-powered 6.6L with the 10-speed as an option. The LT trim has a redesigned interior, a massive 13.4-inch diagonal infotainment system, and a 12.3-inch configurable driver information center. A ZR2 trim now comes with the HD lineup.

SUVs and Crossovers

There are a variety of notable SUVs and crossovers in the 2024 Chevy lineup, and they are worth checking out if you need something with ample passenger and cargo space. The Chevy Trailblazer boasts several major updates for 2024. On the exterior, you can choose from two new colors: Cacti Green and Copper Harbor Metallic. Max trailering is 10,000 lbs with a 1,300-pound payload capacity on the RST. Of particular interest, the RST First Edition offers an automatic adaptive air suspension and four-wheel steering.
