Your Guide to the 2025 Chevy Blazer EV

Did you know that the Chevy Blazer was introduced way back in the late 1960s? This SUV (although it would be another decade or so before that term was coined) was a rugged addition to Chevy’s lineup and had great off-roading ability. Over the years, the Blazer has changed and gone through different iterations. It even disappeared for a while before returning in 2019, having been revamped into a more family-friendly vehicle. 

Well, now it has undergone yet another evolution, and it can be had with a completely electric powertrain. Thanks to its remarkable efficiency and great interior space, the Chevy Blazer EV is a popular midsize SUV, especially with families, but it truly has something for everyone. Let’s get to know the 2025 model, along with its many trim choices and configurations.

Tons of Power

Great power has always been a hallmark of all Blazer models, and the EV offers a variety of meaty powertrains. The LT and RS trims come standard in a front-wheel drive configuration that combines a single electric motor and an 85 kWh battery pack for 220 hp and 243 lb-ft of torque. These trims can be upgraded with a second electric motor on the rear axle for all-wheel drive with 300 hp and 355 lb-ft of torque.

There are also two high-performance options. With the RS, you can opt for a single-motor rear-wheel drive setup with a 102 kWh battery pack to enjoy 365 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque. Those numbers aren’t cutting it for you? You’ll be glad to know that they can go up substantially with the SS trim. This comes with a 102 kWh battery pack and dual-motor all-wheel drive, pumping out up to 595 hp and 645 lb-ft of torque in Wide Open Watts mode.

Fantastic Efficiency

A Chevy model can always be counted on to supply you with great fuel economy, and when a gas engine gets swapped out for an electric motor or two, the numbers are particularly impressive. In fact, even with all-wheel drive, the 2025 Blazer EV gets an EPA-estimated 102 MPGe in the city and 87 MPGe on the highway.

Your Blazer EV can travel for a while without needing a charge. The LT and RS trims have an estimated driving range of 312 miles with front-wheel drive. If you opt for the available 102 kWh battery pack and rear-wheel drive in the RS trim, that increases to 334 miles. That excellent range means you won’t have to worry about sticking close to charging stations.

Speaking of charging, it can be done rather quickly with the Blazer EV. If you have a Level 2 charger at home or can use a 240-volt outlet, the battery can be completely juiced up overnight. When you’re out and about and need some power, this SUV can charge at up to 190 kW using a Level 3 DC fast charger, giving you an estimated 78 miles of range in only 10 minutes.

Lots of Interior Space

One of the true highlights of the Blazer EV is how much space its cabin offers. Inside, you will find two rows of seats with ample headroom and legroom, so taller people can sit anywhere comfortably. You will also have a lot of cargo room to work with, as it provides 25.5 cu.ft. behind the back row, and that more than doubles to 59.1 cu.ft. when the rear seat is folded down.

Advanced Safety Systems

The 2025 Blazer EV will give you great peace of mind, as it comes loaded with the latest safety features. This includes Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, and Adaptive Cruise Control, along with:

• Blind Zone Steering Assist: If sensors detect a possible crash with a vehicle in a lane you’re attempting to enter, the Blazer EV will provide a firm turn of the steering wheel, telling you it’s not safe.
• Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking: If your Blazer EV detects a potential collision—whether from in front, the side, or behind—and you don’t react swiftly enough, it will put the brakes on.
• HD Surround Vision: This technology will give you a bird’s-eye view of your vehicle to help make it easier to navigate tight parking spaces.

The Trims of the 2025 Blazer EV

Now that you have a good overview of the new Blazer EV, it’s time to take a deeper dive into what its trim levels offer.

Blazer EV LT

The base LT trim comes with quite a few features. First of all, you will experience its great handling on 19-inch wheels. Cloth upholstery is standard, as is an 11-inch digital instrument panel and 17.7-inch infotainment touchscreen. You’re going to love using this user-friendly system, which has Google built-in. In addition to its crisp graphics, it offers quick responses to inputs and is highly customizable. The LT trim also comes with in-dash navigation, five USB-C ports, satellite radio, and Amazon Alexa. You will also get a six-speaker stereo, remote start, keyless entry, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.

If you want to enjoy your Blazer EV even more, the Comfort and Convenience Package will enhance your comfort substantially. It swaps out the cloth upholstery for Evotex synthetic leather and comes with power-adjustable heated front seats. The power-folding mirrors are also heated, as is the steering wheel—which comes with a premium wrap. Other goodies include an AutoSense hands-free power liftgate, auto-dimming rearview and driver’s side mirrors, and wireless device charging. With this package, you will also get satin aluminum-finish roof rails, wiring for a trailer hitch, and Hitch Guidance with Hitch View. Plus, you will have the option of adding Chevy’s Super Cruise hands-free highway driving system.

Blazer EV RS

Moving up to the RS trim gets you everything in the base LT, along with pretty much everything in the Comfort and Convenience package. But it also comes with even more amenities, including heated and ventilated front seats, Evotex synthetic leather upholstery with faux suede inserts, and driver’s seat memory settings. You’ll get bigger 21-inch wheels, and an AutoSense hands-free power liftgate is standard. The RS trim also gets interior ambient lighting, and if you go with rear-wheel drive, the stereo is an eight-speaker Bose premium system.

But that’s not all. There’s an RS Convenience and Driver Confidence Package that will give you heated rear outboard seats, heated windshield wipers, a head-up display, and a rear camera mirror with a washer. You can also opt for Super Cruise for hands-free driving.

Blazer EV SS

The top Blazer EV trim is the fantastically high-performing SS. In addition to all the power mentioned above, this vehicle—which comes with 22-inch wheels—has tremendous acceleration and can get you from zero to sixty in just 3.4 seconds. Because it feels like a racecar, it should be outfitted as such, and inside, you will find racing-inspired accents. In addition to most of the features in the two lower trims, the SS comes standard with heated rear seats and the Super Cruise system.
