There are lots of words one could use to describe the Corvette, but when it comes down to it, this speedster only needs one word to catch your attention: Stingray. That’s it—one word is enough to make people perk up. It’s not just your average cool sports car but a name that elevates an already high-performance machine to something beyond the norm.

A regular driver might have a Corvette on their wishlist, but those who know the 2024 Chevy Corvette Stingray know it’s a whole new level of awesome. We’re going to dive headfirst into what makes the latest iteration that much more worthy of a place in your garage. From its sleek muscular curves and roaring engine to new head-turning hues, get behind the wheel of the all-new Stingray and unleash enough power to make even Poseidon himself jealous.

Making Pulses Race Since 1959

The Stingray is an icon of American muscle. Arriving in the late 1950s, the original Stingray concept was the offspring of the Corvette SS (Super Spyder) that was designed for the raceway, not Main Street. But when the second generation of the Corvette was introduced in 1962, the “Sting Ray” was a welcomed addition to the lineup.

It wasn’t until the end of the ’60s and into the third generation that the model became a single iconic word, “Stingray.” This version was produced until 1976, and the public was not happy with its retirement. Dealers had to go so far as to add Stingray emblems to existing models to appease drivers who desired that spirited sports car.

On the model’s 50th anniversary in 2009, a modern concept car was introduced to entice an all-new generation of drivers looking for an updated muscle car. When the seventh generation of Corvettes hit the roads in 2014, you can bet the refurbished Stingray was among them. Now it is 2024, and drivers get three trim options, a rainbow of exterior paint colors, plus an additional brand-new accent package to make their Stingray the car of their dreams—and that’s just getting started…

Power Unleashed

Some drivers buy the Stingray for its sleek good looks, but most are interested in the hum and thrill of the V8. Rest assured, the Stingray has plenty of power to impress drivers this year. Carrying over from last year, drivers get the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 paired with an eight-speed dual-clutch and rear-wheel drive. Unleash an impressive 495 hp with 470 lb-ft of torque and go from zero to sixty in 2.9 seconds flat or hit a quarter of a mile in as little as 11.2 seconds. Take the Stingray to the track and really see what it can do, clocking in at up to 194 mph.

The look of a twin exhaust and five-split spoke wheels doesn’t just make the Stingray stylish but adds to its speedy performance that is set to make your pulse race this year. Drivers can further adjust their Stingray’s performance with the model’s Driver Mode Selector, which features Weather, Tour, and Track modes, plus the optional MyMode and Z Mode that makes it easy to create your ideal ride.

The current 2024 Stingray has the honor of being titled the most powerful Stingray in history, so if ever there was a time to get behind the wheel of your dream car, it’s surely right now.

Stylish & Sleek

The design of the Stingray was made to do double duty, enhancing its aerodynamics while delivering sleek bends and smooth angles that help put it ahead of the curve both performance and style-wise.

Take the top off the Stingray this year with its enhanced retractable roof that slides seamlessly along the sculpted body to let in the breeze. Three exterior colors were changed out this year for an updated selection that now features Riptide Blue Metallic, Cacti Green, and Sea Wolf Gray. Drivers also get a more diverse line of racing stripe options to enhance the sporty appeal of their Stingray.

Two available packages include the Stealth Interior Trim Package, which adds a little more flash to interior elements like air vents and speaker covers. The second package is the Custom Leather-Wrapped Interior Package, which introduces Nappa leather seating and leather-wrapped cabin elements. For further customization, drivers get eleven interior color palettes to pick from.

The inside is a racing cockpit with seats designed to cradle the driver for an effortlessly intuitive driving experience; controls, dials, and tech are at the ready when you need them, and its seating will have you feeling snug, secure, and ready for speed. The GT1 bucket seat is standard on the 1LT and 2LT trims and was designed to be supportive for extensive comfort. The GT2 bucket seat is available in the 2LT trim but comes standard on the 3LT; it not only features Nappa leather like the GT1 but also carbon fiber and a seatback halo design for supreme comfort. The top-of-the-line bucket seat is the Competition Sport; this is an available seating option that is ideal for track driving. Drivers can upgrade with heated and ventilated seating for additional comfort.

The careful craftsmanship is apparent throughout the cabin, from the detailed stitching to the ergonomic steering wheel design. USB ports are located close by, while a locking glove box gives you extra assurance that valuables are safe when you’re away from the car.

Drivers can sync their smartphones with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto to access navigation, apps, and custom playlists. There’s also Bluetooth technology and a 4G Wi-Fi hotspot, and Google Maps navigation keeps you connected and your hands on the wheel. Expect dual-zone climate control for you and your passengers, and you’ll benefit from keyless entry and push-button start.

It’s easy to upgrade your experience with a wireless charging pad to eschew messy tangles of cables and chargers.
