About the 2025 Chevy Blazer

Facing stiff competition from the likes of the Kia Telluride, Ford Bronco, and Honda Passport, the 2025 Chevy Blazer leaves its mark in the midsize segment as a stylish, performance-driven alternative to the competition. After making a return to the market with the 2020 model year, the current generation of the Chevy Blazer offers a visually compelling design coupled with multiple trim variations and a diverse set of packages to help lure in those who want a well-rounded midsize SUV that seats up to five people across two rows.

The five-door design, with its power liftgate and ample cargo capacity, helps set it apart from its smaller and very popular sibling, the Chevy Equinox. For the 2025 model year, Chevy has introduced a new color to the Blazer’s lineup—the very spicy Habanero Orange—which gives potential shoppers an extra opportunity to personalize the midsize SUV to fit a specific aesthetic. This premium color joins four other colors in the lineup, which includes Black, Sterling Gray Metallic, Radiant Red Tintcoat, and Iridescent Pearl Tricoat.

You can get the 2025 Blazer in one of four different trim levels—the 2LT, the 3LT, the RS, or the Premier. You can also get the Blazer with a number of add-ons, including accessories, performance packages, trailering packages, and safety packages. For the 2LT and 3LT, you have access to special editions as well, including the Sport Edition, the Redline Edition, and the Midnight Edition. Each special edition adds exterior styling depending on what you’re looking for in your Blazer’s visual appeal.

The 2025 Blazer offers two powertrain options: you can get a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline 4-cylinder that makes 228 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque or a 3.6-liter V6 that makes 308 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission and are available in either front- or all-wheel drive. When it comes to fuel economy, the 4-cylinder will get you 22 MPG in the city and 29 MPG on the highway in front-wheel drive (FWD) or 22 MPG in the city and 27 MPG on the highway in all-wheel drive (AWD); the V6 manages 19 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway in FWD and 18 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway in AWD.

You can expect to tow up to 3,250 lbs with the 4-cylinder and up to 4,500 lbs with the V6 when properly equipped. You also have multiple drive modes to be able to optimize how the Blazer behaves both on and off the road. There are five modes available in front-wheel drive, which include Tour, Sport, Snow/Ice, Tow/Haul, and Off-Road. All-wheel drive models get All-Wheel Drive, Sport, Snow/Ice, Tow/Haul, and Off-Road modes, providing even greater traction control and stability.

The Blazer stands out with its sharp steering and athletic handling, making it feel more like a sports SUV rather than a traditional midsize one. The StabiliTrak electronic stability control system enhances control, while available adaptive cruise control and lane-centering assist improve long-distance driving comfort. You have an LED lighting array featuring daytime running lamps, headlamps, and taillights, along with IntelliBeam’s auto high beams. Utility-oriented options such as black roof-mounted side rails are available for those who want to load cargo carriers on their Blazer, while features like the available panoramic power sunroof give you an added sense of luxury.

You can also enhance the basic design of the 2025 Blazer with the Sport Edition, Midnight Edition, and Redline Edition. The Sport Edition features a bowtie-design lower decal and sport pedal; the Redline Edition comes with 20-inch gloss-black aluminum alloy wheels with red accents, a black window surround, black badging with red outlines, Redline mirror decals, and a black grille with a red decal. The Midnight Edition provides you with blacked-out accents, trimming, grille, and emblems, along with 18-inch high-gloss black-painted aluminum wheels.

Convenience

A healthy amount of convenience features come standard with the 2025 Blazer that will appeal to those looking for a well-rounded SUV. Accessibility is one of the more enticing features of an SUV, whether for solo commuters or families. One way that the Blazer enables accessibility for drivers and passengers alike is the power programmable liftgate or the available hands-free gesture-based liftgate, which gives you easy access to the 30.5 cu.ft. of cargo volume in the rear area. However, if you need additional space for outdoor equipment, new furnishings, or a large shopping haul, you can fold down the second-row seats and make use of the 64.2 cu.ft. of total cargo volume that the Blazer provides.

You also have available a foldable cargo organizer and a retractable cargo shade, which gives you a lot of control over how you store your belongings in your vehicle. Comfort plays a big part in the Blazer’s identity as well, with available heated and ventilated seats, along with available driver memory settings for the 8-way power driver seat featuring multi-directional lumbar control. Seating material ranges from premium cloth upholstery for the 2LT but scales up to perforated leather in various color stylings, enabling shoppers to outfit the Blazer for comfort-focused driving. There is also dual-zone automatic climate control to ensure passengers both upfront and in the back are kept comfortable.

Heated power outside mirrors make it easy to maintain visibility on your blindspots, while easy access is possible via remote keyless entry and start, so you can get in and get going on the road without any hold-ups. Features like the standard HD rear vision camera also make it convenient to avoid having to deal with smudges on the rearview mirror or blockage to visibility due to rear passengers or cargo. And thanks to the rear window defogger and active noise cancellation, you not only have aided buffers to improve the way you see out of the vehicle but it’s designed to keep sounds tucked inside the cabin.

Technology

You have plenty of tech to help round out the value of the 2025 Chevy Blazer. This includes a robust suite powered by the Chevrolet Infotainment System, featuring a 10.2-inch HD color touchscreen powered by Google Built-In for quick app access and functionality. It has Bluetooth wireless streaming for smart devices, as well as connected navigation with enhanced voice recognition; you can also connect your smartphone via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto to make use of phone projection for media access and hands-free calls and texts.

The infotainment suite also provides you with access to a Wi-Fi hotspot, supporting multiple devices to connect online, which is excellent for keeping the family connected while on the go. You can also make use of the available 8-inch digital driver display that enables you to keep track of the vehicle’s telemetry and health, as well as personalize driver profiles and get help navigating with a digital compass. Added access to services and navigation support with OnStar comes standard across the Blazer’s trims, so you always have a guide no matter where you go.

All of these technologies are buffered with impressive standard driver assistance features as part of the Chevy Safety Assist suite. These features include a forward collision alert, lane departure warning, lane keeping assistance, and a following distance indicator, all of which work seamlessly with adaptive cruise control. Standard passive safety features, such as LATCH (the lower anchors and tethers for children’s car seats), make the Blazer excellent for family travels, too.

Automatic emergency braking and available features like rear park assist and cross-traffic alert are also useful for those who want to make parking and inner-city driving safer. Plus, with Teen Driver mode, you have a monitoring system with pre-launch safety checks and report cards to ensure your teen drives safely on the road. The added feedback on how your teen drove allows you to work with them to improve their safety habits behind the wheel. This makes the 2025 Blazer a tech-rich and very safe vehicle for solo drivers and families alike.
