With the eighth generation of the Corvette in full swing, we're seeing continuous improvements, updates, and upgrades to the Stingray with each new model year. This gives enthusiasts and fans of the popular sports car plenty of opportunities and reasons to indulge in one of the most talked about supercars of the era, which has proven to be not only gorgeous but also extremely efficient on the road and the track alike thanks to its naturally aspirated mid-engine design. This setup makes the 2025 Chevy Corvette Stingray extremely competitive amongst its rivals like the McLaren 570S and the Lotus Emira, challenging them both in terms of price point and performance.
The Stingray also manages to maintain its edge in its unique style and design, constantly throwing sports car shoppers new ways to personalize and indulge in the extravagant track-inspired stylings that help the Stingray stand out from its peers. This includes two all-new exciting color options joining the lineup, with Competition Yellow Tintcoat Metallic adding some spice to the table and Hysteria Purple Metallic giving the Stingray that dark and mysterious vibe. There have also been two all-new interior colors made available for the upholstery, including blue stitching with the black interior and the Habanero option, helping to add flavor to an already extensive selection of interior colors and tonal choices.
Other new additions that have made the 2025 Corvette Stingray more appealing to shoppers include a new brake caliper color—Velocity Yellow—as well as a leather steering wheel cap being standard across the trim lineup. Additionally, the Z51 Performance Package now comes equipped with an all-new rear spoiler, upping its race appeal in addition to increasing the overall performance of this two-door, two-seater sports car. You can get the 2025 Stingray in three different trims—the 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT—all of which are available as a convertible or hard-top coupe.

The eighth generation of the Corvette is built on a chassis designed to house a mid-engine powertrain. This includes an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission configured in rear-wheel drive with six different drive modes: Weather, Tour, Sport, Track, MyMode, and the customizable Z Mode. The mid-engine design also means that there is less travel from the crankshaft to the drive line, as it's all situated relatively close together, giving you access to a lot of power very quickly.
The Stingray, in particular, runs a naturally aspirated V8 engine, meaning that there are no superchargers with forced induction, no turbochargers that come with boost lag, and no electric generators in place of the flywheel; you also don't have to worry about any added weight from a battery pack, so the Corvette Stingray is relatively lightweight for its class segment, which ensures there is little to no wasted power output from the flat-plane crank V8.
The base 6.2-liter V8 produces 490 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque; these numbers can be buffed up if you opt to upgrade the base Stingray with the Z51 Performance Package, which comes with the Magnetic Selective Ride Control and the performance exhaust. With these additions, the 2025 Stingray is capable of outputting 495 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque; this gives you an extra leg up, whether on long stretches of an empty highway or engaging in a weekend trip to the local test track.
The added benefit of the Magnetic Selective Ride Control improves the overall performance of the coil-over spring suspension by enabling the vehicle to dynamically adjust the suspension based on road conditions. It utilizes sensors to detect changes in how the vehicle is responding to the road with active damping that adapts between 10 and 15 milliseconds. The Z51 Performance Package also features Brembo performance anti-lock brakes, the all-new rear wing Z51 spoiler, and an electronically limited slip differential with a performance rear axle ratio tuned to 5.17:1. To help with these performance boosts, you also get enhanced heavy-duty cooling, so you can push the Stingray's engine to its limits!
The 2025 Corvette Stingray is designed to appeal to those who love a beautiful sports car, and the engineers went out of their way to ensure that the eighth generation of the Corvette is absolutely stunning. Sweeping lines across the body accentuate the aerodynamic architecture and fighter-jet-inspired aesthetic; this consists of aggressive curves with pronounced side scoops, a slick roof line with a sweeping fastback rear end, and dual inlets on the rear fascia. Quad chrome-tipped exhausts are encased within a black surround, and a very eye-catching tail light housing features arrow-shaped lights.
You can access the engine bay with the normal hatch or opt for a convertible clear window with the Convertible Engine Appearance Package. For storage, you can use the front trunk (or "frunk") to store up to 12.6 cu.ft. of cargo. There are also multiple roof options for both the coupe and convertible models, with the latter having two different roof options with a Carbon Flash-painted nacelles and hard top, whereas the coupe has Carbon Flash-painted nacelles and a body-color roof.
You have two additional options with the hard-top coupe in the form of a transparent roof panel and a carbon fiber dual roof package. The roof options go nicely with the 17 different body decals and vinyl accessories you can add via the stripes and graphics options to personalize the Stingray to your liking.
For those who really enjoy standing out, there is a diverse selection of wheel options to help separate your Stingray from the next one over. There are nine wheel options in total, with 19-inch wheels in the front and 20-inch wheels in the rear. There are five-spoke aluminum wheels available in Bright Silver, Carbon Flash, Sterling Silver, or Satin Graphite. You also have the option of 20-spoke aluminum wheels available in Gloss Black, Midnight Gray, or Tech Bronze; this gives you a lot of different options in how you personalize and customize the Stingray to your liking.
The 2025 Stingray isn't just about speed and performance; there is a measure of comfort and convenience, including eight-way power driver and passenger seats with lumbar support and available heating and ventilation. You can also outfit the seats in 21 different interior color designs with Nappa leather upholstery and perforated inserts or Nappa leather seats with perforated suede microfiber inserts. The colors include Sky Cool Gray, Jet Black, Adrenaline Red, Adrenaline Red Dipped, Natural, Natural Dipped, and Artemis. Alternatively, you can have the interior draped in two-tone designs with Tension Blue and Twilight Blue Dipped, Adrenaline Red and Jet Black, or Sky Cool Gray and Jet Black.
The seating options are also varied across the trim lineup, with three different configurations available. For the 1LT and 2LT, you have GT1 seats designed for long-range comfort and contour support, which is great for daily driving. For 2LT and 3LT trims, you have the availability of the GT2 seats with a seatback halo and carbon fiber trimming. And finally, there is the availability of the Competition Sport seats, which are designed to provide you with maximum comfort and protection for track driving thanks to the performance textile in high-wear areas so you can focus on pushing the vehicle to the limits rather than having to worry about the security of your posture.
On the safety side, the 2025 Stingray comes standard with the Chevy Safety Assist suite, so you have six standard driver assistance features at the ready, including forward collision alert, lane-keeping assistance with lane departure warning, a following distance indicator, side-blind zone alert, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking, and front pedestrian and bicyclist braking.
These are buffered by other safety technologies such as HD front and rear vision cameras, and rear parking assistance. You also have a configurable 12-inch digital driver display and an accompanying 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Available wireless charging, center console storage, and an available 14-speaker Bose Performance Series audio system add to the convenience and tech-rich environment afforded by the 2025 Chevy Corvette Stingray.
